Happy 2012! I know I haven’t been blogging at all lately. I hope to do a little better this year. To celebrate 2012 and new beginnings, I have a [Free Downloadable 5x7 2012 Calendar PDF] for you. I have a free mini 5×7 print for you today in celebration of the Easter holiday. The other day as I was thinking about what the holiday really means to me, I came upon the word VICTORIOUS. This is such a powerful word to me. I have a lot of things in my life that I’d love to claim victory over. Jesus overcame death and sin. He is the supreme example of the word. As I go throughout my weekend, I’ll be looking at this print and remembering that because of HIM and his gift, I can be victorious too. I wanted to make something that we could do as a family to show our thankfulness of this gift. I created little 3×5 cards that match the print. We are going to think of something that we would each like to be victorious over by the next Easter. This could be a vise, a weakness, a sadness, or just a trial that we want to overcome. I think we will write them in the present tense as if we have already overcome them so that we focus on the positive. Hopefully, we’ll put these little cards somewhere we can see them often or read them everyday and be reminded that all things are possible through Christ.

 Merry Christmas! I hope your holidays are wonderful and filled with good memories. My gift to all of you dear readers is a new calendar for 2011. The one I made last year was so handy. I had it tacked to my magnet board behind my desk and referred to it all the time. I hope you like this year’s version.  I feel like I am on a bit of a journey in the creation of myself right now. I was recently reminded that it’s the basic things that can make the most difference in a persons life. In today’s fast pace society, it’s easy to get caught up in all the things we perceive we have to do or have to be. I think we add a lot of unneeded stress in our lives from expectations and comparisons. “Creating yourself” to me means stripping away all the false beliefs and time traps and adding back what it really means to be you. Nurturing your spirit, your mind, your body, and your relationships. Getting to know who you really are and being grateful for it. I’m not there yet. But I’m working on it.
